      The ‘talking mule’ company was born in Bioggio, Ticino canton, on a green hill full of magic. A convent once stood here, and the land was cultivated by the monks. The same ancient vaults that now belong to the young family that owns the company, once housed a farm, with stables and even a cellar. And it is here that, while he was blissfully grazing, a mule began to…talk! His advice was full of common sense and generosity, so much so that a company was born that today deals in the ancient pleasure of cultivating the land and raising animals with sacred respect for nature and its fruits.


      Keywords for The Talking Mule are sustainability and development of a healthy and genuine lifestyle, in complete harmony with nature. In vine cultivation, priority is given to new grape varieties that require the least possible phytosanitary intervention. The pre-alpine climate in which they grow is in fact characterized by heavy rainfall and Mediterranean temperatures, factors that favor the emergence of fungi and parasites. By selecting varieties that are naturally resistant to this climate, the aim is to obtain a highly sustainable product that has the least possible environmental impact. No pesticides are used in the vineyard, but the grass is mowed mechanically, and the distillation is carried out in an artisanal way, using a traditional wood-fired copper still. The real gem of Il mulo parlante is a spirit made from a special variety of kiwi, small and very aromatic, which grow wild on the hills of Bioggio.
