The Red Bath is a typical and traditional Piedmontese recipe, called “bagnet ross” or “bagnetto rosso” in Italian. The name derives from the color of the tomato that is used for the preparation.
The flavor and aroma of this sauce on boiled meat is one of the most unforgettable flavors of Piedmontese cuisine.
It also goes very well with grilled meats and as a basic ingredient on bruschetta.
