Black Currant

This black currant, is distilled from three selected varieties originally originating from Tyrol.

However, the better climatic conditions in Styria meant that over time the Rochelt company carefully transplanted the shrubs there. The pleasantly aromatic, sweet and sour black berries ripen at the beginning of July and thrive there in their most beautiful form.

Immediately after harvesting, they are harvested again by hand according to rigorous criteria and the fruits are processed directly on site within a few hours. Up to 30 kg of berries are needed for one liter of this sophisticated liqueur. During the maturation period, the initially young brandy transforms into a fruity, very complex and noble wine.
