This sweet, prized cherry comes from the Basel region of Switzerland.
Heart-shaped, it is juicy, sweet and very aromatic.
At harvest time, producers are very careful to pick for only perfectly healthy and perfectly ripe fruit.
For this cherry variety, a very specific method is applied: to reveal the particularly delicate aromas, the core of the cherries is removed even before fermentation.
Thus to prevent the heart notes from prevailing over those of the fruit.
Distilled and matured, this Basel cherry brandy is characterized by its delicate, aromatic and clear taste.
